Why yoga teachers like a copper bottle
Teachers often lead several classes a day and talk through all of them, so a good water bottle is never wasted. Yoga and Ayurveda both come from India, and keeping drinking water in copper overnight is part of the Ayurvedic daily routine called Tamra Jal. Each Neera bottle is unlined inside, so the water rests against bare copper. The full guide: how to drink water from a copper vessel.
A thank-you gift from the class
Students often chip in for a teacher gift at the end of a training, a season or the year. Split three ways, the Ritual Set comes to about $30 each.
| Occasion | Gift | Price |
|---|---|---|
| Group gift from the class | Ritual Set: bottle, canvas bag, coir brush and a 9 oz copper tumbler | $89 |
| End of teacher training | Essentials Set: bottle, canvas bag with strap and front pocket, coir brush | $79 |
| Holiday or personal thank-you | The 34 oz copper bottle | $59 |
Honest note for hot yoga teachers: copper is single-wall and does not keep water cold. Fill it with cool water right before class.
Christmas gifts for yoga teachers
The last classes before the holidays are when most students say thank you. A copper bottle is a gift a teacher uses every day of the new year, at the studio and at home.

Good to know
What is a good gift for a yoga teacher?
Something they use every class. A copper water bottle goes to the studio with them and fits the Ayurvedic morning routine of drinking water rested overnight in copper.
Can they take it to class?
Yes. The threaded copper cap closes in one twist and is leak-resistant when closed snugly, and the canvas bag in the sets has an adjustable strap. It holds 34 oz (1 liter).
Does it come ready to give?
Every order ships in Neera branded packaging. A gift card is not included, so add a note from the class.
What can you put in it?
Plain, still water at room temperature or cool. Keep lemon, juice, hot and fizzy drinks out of it, and wash it by hand.
